What you call "news" theses days, is in fact really a form of "entertainment",
and it probably has been that way for at least many many decades.

I've also seen some German videos of his like:

He had described scenarios like journalists using gasoline to set fire to old broken down army vehicles, having armed military personnel move about in the background, twitching their heads while speaking and adding extra audio tracks with machine gun fire to their filmed reports to create a realistic war scenario
and others claiming to report "life from ..." while they were actually at a very different location...
Of course realistic scenarios, convincing pictures and video footage is expected of them - that apparently is, what sells...
Of course they work to give you pictures and footage to illustrate their points...
As it is very seldom possible to have original footage or pictures, when you were not present at the time they could be observed..., some type of replacement is required.
But you are [almost] never [explicitly] told, the footage and pictures...
are only to illustrate the points - in other words - they are staged!
And almost everything you see (as news) does fall into that category!
The other big problem is, that the mind tends to believe, that the footage and pictures shown to illustrate the points, would prove those points!
It is important to be aware of those aspects!
The footage and pictures you see (in the news) are usually staged!
In such a scenario, where you see the pictures and (therefore) believe the news, it is rather easy to propagate even the most vicious, heinous lies in order to manipulate you...
Some things to consider (about news):
Does it make sense?
Who benefits (from you believing that)?
Follow the money...
Voltaire is supposed to have said:
Those who can make you believe absurdities,...
can make you commit atrocities.
Let us not fall for psyops of such kinds any more!!!
No war!
No violations of natural rights!
No vaccination!
No cruelty!
